Position Overview: Maintenance Attendant

• Location: White Marsh, MD
• Compensation: $16.00 – $16.50 per hour

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Attendant (MA) plays a pivotal role in executing light maintenance and cleaning assignments, including the preparation of rooms in alignment with Value Place brand standards post-guest departure. This role also involves routine and preventive maintenance tasks for both indoor and outdoor facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct light and preventive maintenance on both interior and exterior facilities, including carpet cleaning.
• Address minor electrical tasks, such as changing outlets or wall switches.
• Tackle basic plumbing issues like toilet pumping, unclogging, repairs, sink unclogging, faucet repairs, etc.
• Implement the quarterly Preventive Maintenance Program.
• Oversee parking lot maintenance.
• Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of public spaces.
• Execute the Quarterly Preventive Maintenance Program.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Manage laundry tasks, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding company beddings and towels.
• Cross-train in the duties of the Move Assistant, Stay Assistant, Flexible Assistant, and perform these tasks as directed by supervision.
• Fulfill any other assignments delegated by supervision.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or General Education Degree (GED).
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in light maintenance (preferred).
• Knowledge: Fundamental understanding of plumbing, electricity, mechanics, and painting.
• Skills: Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English. Basic computer literacy, including internet data access. Operation of light equipment (pressure washer, vacuum, carpet cleaner). Competent handling of manual and electric tools with a focus on safety.
