Responsibilities:
As a Concrete Carpenter at Easton Concrete, your responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Foreman in directing and supervising the crew for all footings and foundation work.
- Learning and refining skills in squaring footings, forming walls, and pouring footings and walls.
- Setting string lines, forms, and establishing grade for footing and walls.
- Developing the abilities of other crew members and overseeing small jobs.
- Ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to clients.
- Maintaining safety awareness for yourself and the team.
- Fostering positive relationships with coworkers through respect and helpfulness.
- Collaborating to meet the company’s standards of quality.
Position Responsibilities:
- Determining grade and locating hold downs.
- Laying out footings and running strings.
- Snapping building out and figuring mud.
- Setting and straightening walls, building footings.
- Reading plans and details, laying out doors, and figuring wall pieces.
- Thinking steps ahead to keep operations running smoothly.
- Handling material hauling to and from storage and job site.
- Placing bars into footing forms and installing vertical bars.
- Stripping footings, tying reinforcing bar, and placing whailers.
- Setting grade, placing bolts, and stripping form panels.
- Cleaning the site, stocking trucks and trailers, and maintaining professional conduct.
- Prioritizing safety by following procedures and using PPE on the job site.
Compensation:
$30 – $35 per hour
