Pay: $27.47 – $32.70 an hour
Shift and Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
- Overtime, weekends as needed, and holidays

Salary Range: $57,133 – $68,016 with 3 – 5 years of seniority
Responsibilities:
In the role of Mechanical Shop Laborer, your duties will encompass:
- Operating industrial maintenance equipment within a shop environment, including forklifts, mobile cranes, track mobiles, and power hand tools.
- Conducting equipment and shop maintenance, such as sanding, fueling, and cleaning locomotives, organizing work areas, and utilizing power-driven equipment.
- Adhering to safety practices and complying with company and federal safety regulations.
- Adapting to various conditions, including all-weather circumstances, uneven surfaces, and safety-sensitive environments.
- Managing hazardous materials, working around heavy machinery, and meticulously following safety policies and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 18 years of age by the anticipated start date
- Possession of a valid state-issued driver’s license
- Ability to report for duty at the designated work location
- Capability to work safely in various conditions and shifts
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs without assistance
- Visual color distinction and ability to differentiate between verbal and non-verbal sounds
- Proficiency in using hand tools and performing activities involving holding, grasping, turning, and pulling
