Key Responsibilities:
As a Caltrans Highway Maintenance Worker, your responsibilities will include operating and maintaining highway maintenance equipment, such as light trucks, automobiles, and construction equipment. Working under the guidance of a Caltrans Maintenance Supervisor, you will perform various labor-intensive tasks related to landscape and highway maintenance. Your duties will extend to structures maintenance, emergency service, construction, and the upkeep of safety roadside rest areas.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Lodi, San Joaquin County
- Exposure to loud noise, dust, chemicals, extreme weather conditions, great heights, and uneven terrain.
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
- Rotating or irregular shifts, including weekends, nights, holidays, and overtime.
Minimum Requirements:
- Valid California Driver’s License (CDL) – Include CDL number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements/restrictions.
- Successful completion of a Drug Screening before hire.
- Valid and unrestricted Class C driver’s license.
